Per and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) Toolkit
Massachusetts Health Officers Association
Introduction
Per and Polyfluoroalkyl Substance (PFAS) are manufactured chemicals that repel heat, water and stains. PFAS are also known as “forever chemicals”. Because PFAS are used in many industries and found in many locations, they often end up in drinking water – both public water supplies and private wells.
This toolkit provides you with resources to educate your community about PFAS, its risks, and how to test for PFAS. Handouts, flyers, social media templates, and links to resources are available here.
